Kateřina Veronika Anna Dusíková (* 8 March 1769, Čáslav (Bohemia); † 24 March 1833, London) was a Bohemian(Czech)-English pianist, harpist, singer, composer and teacher.

Life

Kateřina Veronika Anna Dusíková (Dussek), also known as Kateřina Veronika Elisabeta Dusik (Dussek); Kateřina Veronika Rosalia Dussek; married name Kateřina Veronica Cianchettini

She came from the Dussek family of musicians in Čáslav; her father Jan Josef Dusík was a composer and cantor in Čáslav, her mother Veronika née Štěbetová was a harpist and singer. She received her musical education from her father.

In 1793, she was invited to London by her brother Jan Ladislav Dusík. Initially with his help, later on her own, she became a well-known musician and music teacher. She married the music publisher Francesco Cianchettini. Her son Pius Cianchettini was later also a composer and pianist.

In 1804, she visited Prague and Čáslav with her brother.

She died in London on 24 March 1833.

Dusiková composed works including two piano concertos and a number of solo piano works.
