Flugelhorn

Das Flügelhorn ist das Sopraninstrument aus der Blechblasinstrumentenfamilie der Bügelhörner. In Bauform, Stimmung und Tonumfang ist es der Trompete vergleichbar, allerdings hat es abweichend von dieser ein überwiegend konisches Rohr, eine weitere Mensur und ein Mundstück mit einem tiefen Kessel (Bechermundstück).
The flugelhorn is the soprano instrument from the brass family of flugelhorns. It is comparable to the trumpet in terms of design, tuning and range, although it differs from the trumpet in that it has a predominantly conical tube, a wider bore and a mouthpiece with a deep cup (cup mouthpiece).
