Hymn

Eine Hymne hat die Bedeutung „Lob Gottes mit Gesang“ bzw. „Gesang mit Lob Gottes“. Daraus entstand die Hymne als Gedichtform als geistliches Lied oder religiöses, lyrisches Gedicht. Hymnen sind Ausdruck hoher Begeisterung und Verehrung.
