Graciela Jiménez (* 1965 in Córdoba, Argentina) is an Argentinian-Spanish pianist and composer.

Life

Graciela Jiménez was born in Córdoba, Argentina, in 1965. She studied piano at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Félix T. Garzón in her home city and composition at the Escuela de Artes of the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. In 1989 she moved to Spain and continued her composition and piano studies at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música Victoria Eugenia in Granada, Spain, where she was awarded the Extraordinary Prize for Piano.

With a catalogue of 120 pieces she is dedicated to contemporary classical music and chamber jazz, especially for piano, voice and chamber music.

Her music has been performed in Spain, Argentina, the United States, Mexico, Italy, France, Greece, Great Britain and Germany.

She has recorded several albums as a composer and pianist and has composed the soundtracks for several audiovisual projects.

In her work she is committed to other art forms and multidisciplinary creation, including poetry, photography and visual arts.
