Dorcas Norreaus modern

Dorcas Norre (* 31 March 1911 in Malmberget; † 15 November 1985 in Stockholm) was a Swedish composer and pianist.

Life

Dorcas Norre studied piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music between 1932 and 1937. She made her debut at Malmberget in 1937 and continued her piano studies with Olof Wibergh. She studied instrumentation with Ivar Hellman and composition with Melcher Melchers. She also worked as a piano teacher. One of her pupils was Lena T. Hansson.
