Olga Sergeyevna Podgajska (* 21 March 1981 in Karaganda) is a Kazakh-Belarusian organist, music lecturer and composer of symphonic choral, instrumental, vocal, vocal-instrumental, film and theatre music.

Life

Olga Podgajska was born in the Kazakh city of Karaganda. In 1996 she moved with her family to Lida, Belarus, where she was accepted into the second level music school at the musicology department. After graduating from the music school in Lida, she continued her studies at the Belarusian State Music Academy in Minsk in the class of Professor V. Kuznetsov (composition) and Associate Professor V. Niewdach (organ). In 2006, she graduated with a master’s degree in two fields: composition and organ. In 2006-2008 she had an internship under the direction of docent W. Niewdach (organ). Member of the new chamber music ensembles “Five-storey ensemble” and Rational Diet; In 2016 she received the scholarship of the National Cultural Centre “Gaude Polonia” and did her internship at the F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Since 2007, she has been a member of the Belarusian Composers’ Union.
