Sharleen Reviaaus modern

Sharleen Revia (* 1996 in Indonesia) is an Indonesian-German composer, sound designer and piano teacher.

Life

Born in 1996, Sharleen Revia began her professional training in piano at the ABRSM. In 2016, Sharleen started her study in Germany and debut her first composition in contemporary music with Hannah Hanbyul Choi. After completing the Audio Design Diploma at the Deutsche POP Akademie in 2017, Sharleen had produced a number of well-received, imaginative pieces under the guidance of Prof. Il-Ryun Chung and Arne Gieshoff at the Akademie für Tonkunst Darmstadt.

Sharleen participated in „Linstower 1. Musikwoche“ as Composer and Musician in 2018.Later on in 2019 her piece for Piano and Voice „Heimat“ premiered at Staatstheater Darmstadt as part of the „Aktion Theatherfoyer“, series of „Lieder unserer Zeit“. She won the 3rd prize of Günter Bialas competiton for composition 2019.

Sharleen is also interested in different kind of instrument, especially the traditional instruments from worldwide. She participated in the „International Composition Workshop 2“ by AsianArt Ensemble and premiered her piece „Teka-Teki“ for Asian traditional Instruments and Western Instrument in Berlin in 2020. She also works together with several soloist, in the same year she also premiered solo toy piano piece „Box of Memories“ which performed by Marco Ramaglia in Frankfurt and also another Solo percussion piece „Was ist Freiheit?“ performed by Eunbi Jeong in Berlin. Her piece also has been performed by Kairos Quartett in „Zeitströme Festival 2021“
