Aleona Sultanovaaus modern

Aleona Sultanova also known as Yelena Istileulova (2 November 1966 in Kazakhstan) is a Kazakh-Slovenian-German scientist, singer-songwriter and composer.

Life

Aleona graduated from her Musical College in Almaty as a teacher of piano simultaneously with the university degree as an engineer-economist, and also received MBA. She moved to Ljubljana in 2010 and received her PhD from the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana.

She started writing her songs in 2011 in Slovenia (performing in piano, or in duo “Al-Chemy”) in English, Russian, Slovenian and Latin. Many of her songs are dedicated to scientists of the 17th-18th centuries.
She received 12 awards (first six prizes) from various International Music Festivals (2012-2021).

Aleona developed her Enlightenment project with SMS (Stories based on Music about Scientists) method in 2012-13, which fits well to STEAM approach (STEM1 + the Arts). The SMS method is based on triangle (Music/Poem/Digital Image) which is created to boost the great interests towards the innovations of European scientists of the Past times.
