Anna Ikramovaaus modern

Anna Ikramova (* 5 February 1966 in Balachicha Russia near Moscow) is a Russian-German cantor and composer.

Life

Born in Moscow in 1966, Anna Ikramova grew up in a typical Moscow intellectual home of the time. As a child, she attended the music high school at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and received her first composition lessons as a schoolgirl. This was followed by years at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory (1983 to 1988), where she studied composition, music theory and clarinet. She has lived in Germany since 1990. From 1991 to 1996 she studied composition with Wolfgang Hufschmidt and electronic composition with Dirk Reith at the Folkwang-Hochschule Essen (artistic final examination in 1996). This was followed by postgraduate studies in music education with the main subjects of composition and piano and church music, graduating with a diploma in music education and a B examination in church music.

From 2000 to 2002 she realised several pedagogical projects for young people on behalf of the Landesmusikrat NRW, the Tonhalle Düsseldorf and the Musikschule Bochum; among others, a composition workshop for girls and a composition project on the internet. With the intention of combining her artistic work and its mediation, she works as a church musician and music educator. Since April 2011 she has been church musician of the Eben-Ezer Foundation; member of the chamber for church music of the Lippische Landeskirche.
