Larisa Vrhunc (* 2. März 1967 in Ljubljana) ist eine slowenische Komponistin und Pädagogin.

Leben

Sie studierte an der Hochschule für Musik in Ljubljana und machte 1990 ihren Abschluss in Musikpädagogik. 1991 erhielt sie den Prešeren Student Award. Sie studierte Komposition in Salzburg am Mozarteum, in Genf und Paris.

Mit ihren Kompositionen nimmt sie erfolgreich an vielen Wettbewerben zeitgenössischer seriöser Musik teil und sie ist Assistenzprofessorin am Institut für Musikwissenschaft an der Philosophischen Fakultät der Universität von Ljubljana.

Life

She studied at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana and graduated in music education in 1990. In 1991 she received the Prešeren Student Award. She studied composition in Salzburg at the Mozarteum, in Geneva and Paris.

With her compositions she successfully participates in many competitions of contemporary serious music and she is an assistant professor at the Department of Musicology at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana.
