Benedicte Maurseth ist als Komponistin, Interpretin und Autorin eine bedeutende Figur in der norwegischen Volksmusikszene. Ihre Musik ist zwar in der reichen Tradition der Hardangerfiedel verankert, spiegelt aber auch einen offenen Zugang zu Kreativität und Gegenwart wider. Benedicte Maurseth is an important figure in the Norwegian folk music scene as a composer, performer and author. While her music is rooted in the rich tradition of the Hardanger fiddle, it also reflects an open approach to creativity and the present.
