Anna Shelest – Donna Voce Vol.3

Die ukrainisch-amerikanische Pianistin Anna Shelest setzt ihre viel beachtete Erkundung der Werke von Komponistinnen mit dem vorliegenden Album fort, das bereits das dritte der Reihe Donna Voce ist. Zu hören sind Clara Schumanns Klavierkonzert in a-Moll, Op. 7 und Cécile Chaminades Konzertstück für Klavier und Orchester, Op. 40 mit Neeme Jarvi als Dirigent des Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. Shelest spielt zudem Klavierwerke der beiden Komponistinnen und wird bei Chaminades Pièces Romantiques, Op. 55 für Klavier zu vier Händen von ihrem Ehemann Dmitri Shelest begleitet.

The Ukrainian-American pianist Anna Shelest continues her highly acclaimed exploration of works by female composers with this album, which is the third in the Donna Voce series. It features Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 7 and Cécile Chaminade’s Concert Piece for Piano and Orchestra, Op. 40 with Neeme Jarvi conducting the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. Shelest will also be playing piano works by both composers and will be performing Chaminade’s Pièces Romantiques, Op. 55 for piano four hands with her husband Dmitri Shelest.
